West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched this Rupashree Prakalpa. This project was presented on 31st January 2018. The project has been started to help the families who are financially weak at the time of marriage of adult daughters in the state. Under this scheme, financially stressed families will be provided Rs 25,000 from the government for the marriage of their daughters. Because we all know that there are still many families in the state who can’t afford to eat well twice due to financial problems.

Adult daughters of poor families have to face many difficulties for their families to get married, and they are forced to borrow money at high-interest rates to get their daughters married. WB Rupashree Prakalpa 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The government will provide the benefits of this scheme to all women, if the adult girl proposes marriage and if she meets the following criteria of application –

• To apply for this scheme, the applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal. Or he was a resident of West Bengal for 5 years or his parents were permanent residents of West Bengal.
• The applicant must be 18 years of age, and the applicant must submit the application as he or she is unmarried.
• The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 1.50 lakhs. If the applicant’s annual income is more than Rs 1.50 lakh, then he is not eligible to apply.
• To apply, the applicant’s proposed marriage must be his or her first marriage.
• The applicant’s potential groom must be 21 years of age.
• The applicant must have his own bank account where he will be the sole account holder. The bank account must be in a bank where all the banks have IFSC code and MICR code. And that bank makes e-payment transactions through NEFT.

• Never married status
• Certificate of Age of Applicant (Self Attested Photocopy, Secondary Admit Card, PAN Card, Primary School Living, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Birth Certificate)
• Certificate of Residence (self-declaration certified by a competent authority)
• Family Income Certificate (self-declaration certified by a competent authority)
• Bank account details (self-attested photocopy of bank book page which provides complete details of account holder name, account number, and bank address, etc.)
• Proof of age of possible marriage (Birth Certificate, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Secondary Admit Card, Primary School Leaving Certificate)

Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme Applying Method

Eligible beneficiaries who wish to apply for this scheme should follow the procedure given below –

• You can collect the application form for the scheme from the concerned office of the state government free of cost.
• If the applicant lives in a rural area, he/she can collect the application form from the office of the Block Development Officer.
• If the applicant lives in a municipal area, he/she can collect the application form free of cost from the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer in his / her own area.
• And if the applicant lives in a corporation area, then the applicant can collect the application form from the office of the Commissioner.

• After collecting the application form you have to fill in the complete details asked in the application form.
• After filling in the complete details of the application form you will need to attach your important documents with the application form.
• After completing the complete details in the application form and attaching the required documents, you have to submit the application form to the concerned office of the State Government.
