Therefore, the state government has launched the Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme to provide financial assistance to the students of the state for higher education. - The applicant needs to be a permanent or legal resident of Assam.
- The applicant will be able to take a loan from any regional rural bank or scheduled commercial bank in Assam.
- The bank from which you will take a loan should be recognized by the Reserve Bank of India.
- There are no eligibility criteria for income under this scheme.
- Beneficiaries who want to take a loan under this scheme have to approve the loan before 31st March 2019.
- The loan amount should be Rs 1 lakh or more.
- A loan account should not be under NPA status.
- From 1 April 2019, 25% of all approved education loans will be disbursed.
- Beneficiaries of the state who are beneficiaries under Vidya Lakshmi Yojana will not be eligible to apply under this scheme.
- Through Vidya Lakshmi Yojana, state government employees were able to get education loans of Rs 5 to 10 lakh.
