The rest of the cast are all really good at making their characters unlikeable and easy to laugh at but the strongest is Edward Norton whose clueless billionaire tech giant feels like a perfect and deliberate contrast to his iconic Fight Club character. The man was I wrong, Riyan Johnson finally delivered the high class modern mystery he had teased at knives out. I really enjoyed nights out and was looking forward to the sequel with much anticipation ever since it was announced. I was, however, disappointed. With glass onion, director and writer Ryan Johnson show once again that he can carefully craft an intriguing story with brilliant direction.
But with the bigger budget comes many challenges and unfortunately, the movie feels like it is trying to be too extravagant and a spectacle for the viewers. The coast story is very interesting and after a dull start, the middle of the film really hits its stride with Johnson moving his playing pieces about with ease and wonderment.
