Suryashakti Kisan Yojana About
The Government of Gujarat has launched Suryashakti Kisan Yojana for the betterment of farmers. Through this scheme, farmers will be able to generate electricity using solar panels on their own farms. For the successful implementation of this scheme, the Central Government and the State Government will provide 60% subsidy to the farmers for the installation of solar panels, and 35% of the cost of the scheme will be provided to the farmers through loans. The interest rate of 4.5% to 6% of the 35% of the cost of the scheme will be paid to the farmer through the loan, and the remaining 5% will be borne by the farmer.
