Teachers Day Speech in English 2022: Sample 1

Dear principal sir, good morning to teachers and my dear friends!

I feel very proud to stand here today on this Teacher’s Day and welcome all you respected teachers. It is not possible in words to describe how much the teacher’s role is for every student. But I can say that our Vedas also teach us this.

“Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu, Guru devo Maheshwara
Guru sakshat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Gaurav Namah”

This little word means a lot. This means that a teacher is composed of all the Gods within him, and that is precisely why our society considers teachers to be above God. A teacher has been given utmost importance in our history as well, we know that the mother’s womb shapes the human body, and just as it is important, in the same way, a teacher shapes the human essence which makes our society stronger and progressive as humanity. A teacher opens the doors of thousands of opportunities to guide the students on a good and right path.

So there is no hesitation in saying that the relationship between a student and a teacher is like a potter and clay. Usually, Komar mud jiggers the soil to make sure there are no oxen in it and then turns it into a beautiful art structure. And we can say the same to teachers because a teacher can be difficult for us sometimes, but in the end, they just want to be the best version of themselves. Teachers always want us to make them proud.

Dear teacher, I connect you with knowledge, basic capital, and determination. You taught us how to face all the problems of life with courage and a strong mind and heart. And you have taught that life is to be made not only for oneself but for society as a whole. I had the opportunity to say thank you today! But I know that this is not enough to repay your blessings, but we assure you today that we will always follow the right path shown by you and we will contribute a large part of our knowledge for the welfare of the world.

To celebrate the efforts of our teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day today 5th September we have planned to make this day memorable for all of you. Many children have prepared various services for you today on this memorable day. We will try our best to bring a smile to your face throughout the day.

Finally, Happy Teacher’s Day to all, and have a great day ahead. Thanks, everyone for giving me the opportunity to say this.

Teachers Day Speech in English 2022: Sample 2

There is nothing new to say about the important role of a teacher in a successful person. That teacher should be in the field of study, not that. He can be in any walk of life. He will give advice on the way in life, stand by and encourage failure, and set new goals on the day of success. He will teach him to be not only successful but also a good person.

Dr. Abdul Kalam used to say, ‘I believe that there is no profession in the world that is greater for society than a teacher.’

A teacher’s place is not comparable to anyone else’s place. Teachers are as important as parents and guardians on the path of life.

Teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan (September 5, 1888 – April 17, 1975) was born in a poor Brahmin family in Tiruttani, Tamil Nadu. First Vice President (1952-1962) and Second President (1962-67) of independent India.

A politician, philosopher, and professor at once, this quiet man was brilliant in his student life. In 1905, he obtained a master’s degree in philosophy from the Madras Christian College. His subject was ‘Abstract Preconceptions of Vedanta Philosophy. He was also known as a popular philosophy professor at the world court. He was honored with a British knighthood in 1931. Awarded Bharat Ratna in 1954. He wrote his first book ‘The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore’. The second book is ‘The Rain of Religion in Contemporary Philosophy. He also taught at Calcutta University. He has been repeatedly invited to teach by various universities in the country and abroad. After becoming president, when his students wanted to celebrate his birthday, he said instead of his birthday, September 5 should be celebrated as Teacher’s Day.

Since then this day has been celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India. So today on his birthday we pay our respects to every teacher.

Teachers Day Speech in English: Sample 3

Respected principal sir, teachers, and my dear friends and fellow teachers good morning from me to you all!

Today is September 5, and on this auspicious day, we commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna and celebrate Teachers’ Day. Happy Teacher’s Day to all my dear teachers present here. Standing here today, I feel very blessed to carry this precious heritage of our society. Today this day signifies our hard-working teachers. According to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna “A true teacher is one who helps us think for ourselves”. A teacher plays the backbone of our society. And the purpose of the teacher is to nurture the innocent child with his knowledge and experience and make him a responsible, wise man.

So I have no hesitation in saying that a teacher can be compared to a candle that lights the whole world by lighting itself. He guides our wayward path. So our society considers teachers above all. We all have heard the story of Eklavya and Dronacharya Ji in Mahabharata. Dronacharya Ji asked his disciple Eklavya for his right thumb as Guru Dakshina, and Eklavya gave his Guru Dakshina without a second thought.

“Guru Govind Dohu Khade, Kage Lago Pay |

Balihari Guru Apane, Govind Diyo Batay ||”

This means that if ever God and teacher come to me together, I will touch my teacher’s feet first because my teacher has taught me about God. How true is it? A teacher always selflessly tries to guide a raw seed with his knowledge and experience. And only one teacher teaches us different phases of life. Mother, father, brother, sister, or any other person who guides us with his experience and knowledge and guides us on the right path is a teacher. Because being a teacher is not just about being educated, a true teacher is one who guides us on the right path through the knowledge and experience he possesses.

Finally, I would like to say that today this Teacher’s Day is not only a day to celebrate our teachers, but also to inculcate their values and carry their education for the future.

Thank you

Today on this Teacher’s Day I feel proud to stand here and welcome all my beloved teachers. Teachers are the pillar of our life, and they help us in every step to build our careers. He tries to shape our lives with his knowledge and experience and guides us on the right path. So from history, our society considers teachers above all. Just as a mother’s womb gives birth to a human body, a teacher shapes that human body into the basic human sense that makes our society stronger and more progressive as humanity. That’s why we should never forget our teachers no matter how much we grow up.

Trust me: We will follow the subjects taught by teachers in every difficult and good time of life. Just as a potter guides the clay, teachers shape our lives. A true teacher’s motive is his pride so that we are.

Finally, I would like to say that Teacher’s Day is not just a day. It’s more about celebrating the lessons they have instilled in us, and carry those lessons forward with wisdom.
